Heart Support combines kiwi fruit powder, dong quai, gotu kola, turmeric, houttuynia and rutin for adults who look after their heart with diet, walking and their doctor's plan.
Heart Support lists six plant ingredients. None carries an approved claim; here they are with the precautions:
a leafy herb used in Southeast Asian cooking. Known locally as fish mint.
the yellow spice; careful with blood thinners and gallstones.
a plant pigment found in buckwheat and citrus peel.
the takip-kuhol leaf, used in Asian herbal tradition.
Chinese angelica; can add to blood thinners. Ask first if you're on warfarin.
dried kiwi, a fruit rich in vitamin C. No approved claim here.
In Lapu-Lapu I've been on warfarin since my heart valve surgery.
Before ordering Heart Support I asked about the ingredients, and my cardiologist said the dong quai and turmeric weren't a good idea for me. Honest answer, no regrets.
